29 With Eggs - synopsis

The tender side of TAYLOR MCCARTNEY has been idle the last years since her mom's passing.  But, even though, her sharp wit surfaces mostly, Taylor can liven up a conversation immediately; particularly by herself ...  when the Ferris Bueller side of her personality regales tales to the camera of any flight of the imagination that comes to mind.

As an at-home artist, she constructs, sculpts and creates. And she has found a brilliant way to combine being a salesman and a bottled up performer.  Taylor goes on-line with her art, allowing herself to be free, as she dances into a web cam while the bid counter rises.

She feels liberated; especially with out a man to complain.

Taylor's boy-girl romances no longer seem on the horizon.  Her intellectual "smarts" have always clashed with the male assortment born and raised in the small town she dearly loves.  And -- letting herself believe that the male ego is the reason -- Taylor never commits. But, as the next days hatch, she will face a veiled inner struggle asking her to open her heart.

For now, Taylor is honest about how that dream of wedded-bliss may fade with the sunset. But it's only mild to the craving she readily admits is coming to a boil.

Taylor wants a child.

No sooner does she confess this to the camera, she discovers to be careful what you wish for, as "church ladies" come over, asking her to host the annual Easter egg hunt at her home.

Taylor easily agrees.  She dreams up that day with munchkins in their Sunday best and with glee in their eyes over the hunt.  For her, Easter may just be the egg-to-embryo catharsis she needs.

Unfortunately, there's also a caveat.

Church lady, MRS. SIMPSON, sends her son Rodney to keep an eye on her.  Taylor doesn't give him much leeway as they complete their Easter tasks even though he tries to draw a little hospitality from her.  Rodney is recently divorced.  And while that doesn't bother Taylor in the least, she can't leave-be an incident, years ago, when the two of them had a disastrous date in high school ... where Taylor was arrested.

The details of their lone fling hitting-the-fan gets resurrected, naturally, at the worst time; Easter Sunday.  Children are running uncontrollably through her yard while parents are more concerned with gossip about Taylor's house, Taylor's yard, and Taylor the artist with the drifting mind.

With everything disastrous, Taylor discovers her biggest fear is that she fears her self.  But Rodney steps back and lets her create one last scenario in her mind.  It will release her from life's apprehension and send her into his arms.
