New York

Congratulations to the cast and crew of the feature film CULTiVISION. The movie has been accepted and will be shown at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.

This is the largest Independent festival in the U.S. if not the world. Last year only 30 features were chosen out of 2000 entries. The festival runs for 11 days in September starting with an opening bash for the filmmakers at Madison Square Gardens.

There are expected to be 10,000 participants for this night. The whole spectrum of the entertainment industry participates, including: distributors, production companies, casting agencies, and international press and media. Some of the studios that usually attend are representatives from AFMA, Miramax, Fox Searchlight, Sony Pictures, Lions Gate, FineLine, Giants Entertainment & Palisades Pictures.

Previous actors that have had their movie at the NYIIFVF are Andy Garcia, Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal), Danny Aiello, Christopher Walken, Willem Defoe, Eric Roberts, Claudia Schiffer, Dana Delaney, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Lauren Hill, Lawrence Fishburne, Ben Stiller, etc.

The festival will show movies at 3 cinemas during the 10 evenings from 6pm-10pm. I will soon have the official date and viewing place for Cultivision and I will let all of you know. Hey, you’re welcome to come up to NY.

While there is no cost for me to have my movie shown, I am allowed to rent a booth for the opening night at Madison Square Gardens in order to promote the movie and get some big wigs there. Some of my options are
-Size of booth
-Having the movie trailer played continuously on a tv monitor during opening night.
-A movie poster made.
-Flyers printed up with the time that my movie will play.
-A tracking service for any newspaper mention of the movie.
-plus a lot more high dollar services.

So, if you would like to be a backer for this movie, the world would be my oyster.

The smallest booth to rent for that night is $600 (don’t know the specs yet). This sounds like a realistic goal for me to try to obtain. If you are able to even participate with a loan . . . that would be great and perfect. I’m not talking about large amounts either. Anything would help.

I also am currently in the process of getting DVD’s of the movie and trying to find a place for the party after the Atlanta premier on April 27th.

Also, if anybody has any non-sarcastic suggestions of any kind please email me.

Thanks forever.

Remember, people will go to Hell if you don’t support this ministry.
(This is a joke. People will go to hell regardless).
(That’s a joke, too, see Spencer for details of why).
